Clarifies that a patient's pregnancy status does not change or limit their right to make advance directives about life-sustaining treatment decisions.

Requires patient advocates to follow the patient's specific instructions regarding life-sustaining treatment preferences if the patient is pregnant at the time the designation becomes effective.
