Adds prohibition on rental agreement provisions that prevent tenants from organizing or forming a tenant union under the Tenants Right to Organize Act.

Adds prohibition on rental agreement provisions that waive or alter a lessee's right to repair and deduct or withhold rent until repairs are completed under MCL 554.139.

Requires rental agreements to include a statement about landlord's obligation to provide written lease renewal notice with increased rent amounts at least 3 months before lease end (for 1-year leases) or 6 months before lease end (for leases of 13 months or more).

Makes minor grammatical changes throughout the statute, replacing "shall" with "must" and updating statutory references.

Ties effectiveness to simultaneous enactment of Senate Bills 900, 902, and 903 of the 102nd Legislature.
