Removes subsection (2) that previously prohibited most passengers in commercial transportation vehicles (school buses, common carrier buses, government-sponsored buses, nonprofit buses, taxicabs, livery services, and transportation network company vehicles) from receiving personal protection insurance benefits.

Renumbers remaining subsections (3) through (8) to become subsections (2) through (7) to reflect the deletion of the commercial passenger transportation exclusion.

Maintains coverage for employees and their family members who suffer injuries while occupying motor vehicles owned or registered by their employer.

Updates cross-references throughout the section to reflect the new subsection numbers, including references to sections 3107d and 3109a regarding coverage elections and exclusions.

Includes a conditional enactment clause stating this amendment takes effect only if Senate Bill No. 904 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
