Requires employers and educational institutions listing racial or ethnic classifications in writings to include "multiracial" as a classification option with a definition meaning having parents of different races.

Requires employers and educational institutions to exclude "other" as a racial or ethnic classification option in writings requesting individuals to designate their race or ethnicity.

Exempts public bodies and state public universities from these requirements, as defined in the race and ethnicity data collection act.

Requires redesignation of individuals identified as multiracial to other racial or ethnic classifications approved by federal agencies when federal agencies reject the "multiracial" classification, using the same ratio those classifications occur in the general population.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. 958 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
