Increases the age requirement for special education services from 26 years old to 40 years old for students with disabilities who are residents of intermediate school board constituent districts and have not graduated from high school.

Changes mandatory record-keeping requirements for intermediate school boards to track students with disabilities under 40 years of age (previously under 26 years of age) on the fourth Friday after Labor Day and the Friday before Memorial Day.

Updates terminology throughout the statute from "person" to "individual" and from "The" to "An" in the opening language regarding intermediate school board duties.

Makes technical corrections to grammar and language, including replacing "shall" with "must" and "shall be" with "are" throughout the section.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. 1026 and Senate Bill No. 1027 of the 102nd Legislature are also enacted into law.
