Mandates water sampling and testing at least once every 2 years from all filtered bottle-filling stations and filtered faucets, collected in 250-milliliter bottles after 8-hour stagnation periods at certified EPA-approved laboratories.

Requires immediate action if lead testing shows 1-5 parts per billion (filter replacement, resampling) and shutdown of water outlets if lead exceeds 5 parts per billion, with notification to parents within 30 days and development of remediation plans.

Requires child care centers to provide all drinking water for human consumption from filtered sources certified to NSF/ANSI standards 53 and 42, or from water delivery services, with conspicuous signage indicating whether outlets are filtered.

Exempts child care centers from filtration installation requirements if water sampling conducted between January 24, 2022 and January 24, 2025 shows no lead presence, though these centers must continue testing at least every 3 years.
