Replaces gendered pronouns ("he or she," "his or her") with gender-neutral language ("the person," "the consumer's") throughout the Michigan Consumer Protection Act's definition of unfair and deceptive trade practices.

Removes telephone solicitation from the home solicitation sale violation provision in subsection (1)(gg), eliminating reference to independent couriers picking up consumer payments during cancellation periods for telephone solicitations.

Adds a new unfair practice in subsection (1)(mm) that makes violation of the Telephone Solicitation Act a deceptive trade practice in connection with telephone solicitations.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. 1037 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
