Repeals 1913 PA 206, the Michigan Telephone Law that declared telephone lines and companies to be common carriers and regulated the telephone business.

Eliminates provisions conferring powers, duties, and responsibilities on the Public Service Commission regarding telephone regulation, consolidation, and enforcement.

Removes prohibitions on certain uses of telephone lines and equipment and regulations on persons using such lines and equipment.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. 1037 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law (tie-bar provision).

Introduced October 16, 2024, by Senators Cavanagh, Bayer, Moss, Geiss, Polehanki, Chang, McBroom, Victory, Anthony, Klinefelt, and McMorrow.
