Replaces references to "trainers" with "regional school health coordinators or the regional school health coordinators' designees" to provide teacher training on HIV/AIDS education.

Defines "regional school health coordinators" as qualified health education professionals employed by schools and funded in part by the department of health and human services to operationalize comprehensive school health education and wellness programs.

Adds regional school health coordinators to the list of locally available resources schools are encouraged to use for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator instruction in grades 7-12.

Changes statutory language from "shall" to "must" and updates terminology from "pupils" to "students" and "people" to "individuals" throughout the education code sections.

Removes the deadline of the 2017-2018 school year for implementing model core academic curriculum content standards for health education.
