MI SB1151

Adds section 16225 to the Public Health Code prohibiting disciplinary action against health professionals licensed or registered in Michigan based solely on discipline they received in another state for conduct that would be protected under Michigan's state constitution or considered a legally protected health activity.

Prevents disciplinary subcommittees from imposing sanctions under section 16226 against licensees, registrants, or applicants based on out-of-state discipline for such protected conduct.

Prohibits boards, task forces, or the department from denying licensure or registration applications based on out-of-state discipline for conduct that would be legally protected in Michigan.

Defines "legally protected health activity" by reference to section 2170 of the Revised Judicature Act of 1961.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. 1152 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
