Expands recoverable damages in wrongful death actions to explicitly include lost future earning capacity of the deceased and, for unemancipated minors, lost earning capacity after reaching age 14.

Adds recovery for loss of household services as a compensable damage category in wrongful death cases.

Clarifies that past and future damages may be awarded and specifies damages are "not limited to" medical, hospital, funeral, burial expenses, pain and suffering, loss of financial support, and loss of society and companionship.

Makes technical language updates throughout the statute, replacing "shall" with "is," "must," or "will" for clarity and modernization.

Designates the amendments as curative to correct the holding of Daher v Prime Healthcare Services-Garden City, LLC (2024).
