Michael L. Green served in the Michigan House of Representatives for three terms (1995-2000) and in the Michigan Senate for two terms (2011-2018), representing the Eighty-Fourth House District and Thirty-First Senate District respectively.

Green held leadership roles on multiple committees including vice chair of the Agriculture Committee, chair of the Agriculture and Resource Management Committee, and chair of the Appropriations subcommittee on Agriculture and Rural Development.

Known as an advocate for pro-life issues, autism awareness, rural communities, gun ownership, and outdoor recreation; re-established the bipartisan Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus.

Prior to his legislative service, Green worked for General Motors for nearly three decades, served as a Tuscola County commissioner for eight years, and operated a family farm and custom log furniture business.

Green is survived by his wife Paula of 56 years, five children, and twenty-two grandchildren.
