Pupils participating in work-based learning experiences or career and technical education (CTE) work-based programs may be counted as up to 0.75 full-time equated membership in addition to their regular high school enrollment, not exceeding 1.0 total FTE

Work-based learning includes paid or unpaid educational experiences coordinated through training agreements with employers, or in-district placements approved by the school board that relate to school instruction

In-district work-based learning placements cannot displace existing permanent positions within the district

Allocates $2,000,000 in competitive grants for 2024-2025 to districts to cover extra costs related to pupils participating in work-based learning experiences during high school enrollment

Total state school aid fund appropriation increases from $17,769,551,300 to $17,771,551,300 for fiscal year ending September 30, 2025
