Requires health insurers to assess and issue a decision on credentialing applications from mental health or substance use disorder providers within 60 calendar days of receiving a complete application

Insurers must notify applicants of incomplete applications within 10 business days via certified mail, specifying all required documentation and providing a point of contact

Allows insurers an additional 15 calendar days for credentialing decisions when applications reveal license sanctions, investigations, felony convictions, or revoked clinical privileges

Mandates insurers reimburse providers for covered services rendered more than 60 days after submitting a complete application if the credentialing decision is still pending, at the insurer's standard in-network rate

Applies to psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, and behavior analysts for both initial credentialing and recredentialing applications
