Requires the Michigan Department of State Police to notify schools within 24 hours of receiving a tip through the Student Safety hotline when the department can identify the school or location involved

Mandates notification to three parties: the identified school (via main office phone and emergency contact), local law enforcement or county sheriff's department, and any other agency deemed appropriate

Requires schools to provide emergency contact information biannually to ensure officials can receive tip notifications at all times, including after-hours tips

Expands existing school safety hotline notification requirements beyond just local law enforcement to include direct school notification

Takes effect only if House Bill 4259 of the 103rd Legislature is also enacted into law
