Modifies civil penalties for Michigan occupational safety and health violations to align with equivalent federal penalties under the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, replacing the previous fixed caps of $7,000 for serious violations and $70,000 for willful violations

Requires the director to initiate administrative rulemaking within 10 working days of any federal penalty change to update Michigan penalties to match federal levels

Maintains criminal penalties for willful violations causing employee death (up to 1 year imprisonment and $10,000 fine for first offense; up to 3 years and $20,000 for subsequent offenses)

Takes effect October 1, 2025
