Bars employers from inquiring about the physical condition or health status of an employee's family member, with exceptions for verifying sick leave eligibility, family and medical leave eligibility, or processing health coverage claims

Prohibits retaliation against individuals who testify, participate in investigations, or oppose violations of the act

Voids any agreement requiring an individual to waive rights under the act, making such waivers unenforceable

Allows injured persons to bring civil actions for injunctive relief and damages, with mandatory award of costs and attorney fees to prevailing plaintiffs
