Requires drivers of trucks over 10,000 pounds gross weight, truck tractors, and vehicle-trailer combinations to stay out of the leftmost lane on freeways with 3 or more lanes traveling in the same direction

Allows exceptions for heavy trucks to use the left lane only when making a left turn, when a special hazard requires it for safety, or when posted due to construction or repair closures

Requires heavy trucks to drive in the rightmost lane when a freeway is reduced to only 2 usable lanes due to construction, with similar exceptions for left turns, safety hazards, or posted construction requirements

Prohibits cities, villages, townships, and counties from enacting local ordinances regulating the same lane restriction subject matter

Establishes violation of these lane requirements as a civil infraction
