Amends Michigan's Insurance Code to remove the outdated term "colored" and replace it with modern language prohibiting discrimination based on "race or color" in life insurance practices.

Prohibits life insurers from making distinctions in premiums, rates, or policy terms based on an individual's race or color.

Forbids insurers from requiring rebates, discounts, or diminished payouts on life insurance policies based on the insured's race or color.

Civil fine of $1,000 per violation applies to insurers, with officers or agents subject to misdemeanor charges punishable by up to 1 year in jail, fines of $500-$1,000, or both.

Approved by the Governor on December 23, 2025 as Public Act 46 of 2025, effective 91 days after final adjournment of the 2025 Regular Session.
