Requires insurers to file pain management plans with the Department of Insurance and Financial Services for approval

Department review will assess whether insurer policies create undue preferential coverage for opioids over alternative pain management options

Insurers must distribute educational materials about pain management access plans to network providers and post plan information on their public websites
