Prohibits electronic voting systems acquired on or after January 1, 2026 from including any parts or equipment produced by entities with communications equipment or services on the Federal Communications Commission's "covered list" under 47 USC 1601

Requires the Board of State Canvassers to deny approval for any electronic voting system acquired after January 1, 2026 that contains components from entities on the FCC's covered communications list

Allows continued repair, maintenance, and component acquisition for electronic voting systems that were acquired and approved before January 1, 2026

References the FCC's "Covered List" which includes equipment deemed to pose national security risks, such as products from certain Chinese telecommunications companies like Huawei and ZTE

Makes technical amendments throughout the Michigan Election Law to update language, including changing "persons" to "individuals" and "shall" to "must"
