Requires health professionals in charge of newborn care to administer or cause to be administered tests for Krabbe disease along with existing required screenings

Makes technical updates to statutory language, including updating Consumer Price Index references to "Detroit-Warren-Dearborn area" and modernizing citations to federal research regulations

Takes effect 90 days after enactment into law

Maintains existing fee structure allowing the department to charge up to $53.71 (adjusted annually for inflation) for performing required newborn screening tests
