Requires the Department of Health and Human Services to provide Medicaid coverage for individuals aged 21 and older for autism diagnosis and treatment within 180 days

Mandates the department to apply for a Medicaid state plan amendment and seek federal approval if necessary to implement the expanded coverage

Covers autism spectrum disorders as defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, including autistic disorder, Asperger's disorder, and pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified

Defines diagnosis services to include assessments, evaluations, and tests such as the autism diagnostic observation schedule performed by licensed physicians or psychologists
