Removes "gender identity or expression" as a protected class from Michigan's Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act across all areas including employment, housing, public accommodations, public services, and education

Eliminates the definition of "gender identity or expression" (previously defined as "having or being perceived as having a gender-related self-identity or expression whether or not associated with an individual's assigned sex at birth") from the act

Retains all other protected classes under the act: religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, height, weight, familial status, and marital status

Applies changes to prohibitions on discrimination by employers, employment agencies, labor organizations, educational institutions, real estate transactions, and places of public accommodation

Modifies state contract requirements to remove gender identity or expression from the non-discrimination covenant that contractors and subcontractors must follow
