Eliminates the requirement for newly elected or appointed school board members to file a written acceptance of office with the secretary of the board within 10 business days of notification

Retains the requirement that member-elects must be notified of their election within 5 business days after certification

Maintains the requirement that school board members must take the constitutional oath before entering office

Updates the list of events that trigger an immediate vacancy to remove failure to file acceptance of office, while keeping other grounds such as death, felony conviction, resignation, or moving out of the district

Takes effect only if House Bill No. 4795 and House Bill No. 4794 of the 103rd Legislature are also enacted into law
