Electric utilities must automatically provide a $100 credit to customers who experienced 4 service interruptions lasting 1 or more hours in the preceding 12 months

Electric utilities must automatically provide a $200 credit to customers who experienced more than 4 service interruptions lasting 1 or more hours in the preceding 12 months

The Public Service Commission must adjust these credit amounts every 5 years based on Consumer Price Index changes for the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn area, beginning 5 years after the act takes effect

"Service interruption" is defined as a full or partial loss of electric service

Adjustments must be announced by June 1 of the year they take effect, rounded up to the nearest dollar
