Eliminates Michigan's wine tax entirely upon the effective date of the amendment, rendering all wine tax provisions in Section 301 of the Michigan Liquor Control Code inapplicable

Current wine tax rates being eliminated: 13.5 cents per liter for wine with 16% or less alcohol by volume, and 20 cents per liter for wine with more than 16% alcohol by volume

Also eliminates the 30 cents per liter tax on mixed spirit drinks sold in the state

Sacramental wine used by churches was already exempt from taxation under existing law
