Requires child care centers in multiple occupancy buildings to notify the department of any changes in occupancy or use by other building tenants within 90 days of such changes.

Authorizes the department to require mitigation measures including self-contained bathrooms, secured entry during operations, separation from hazardous operations, and restrictions on alcohol consumption within the child care area.

Adds a new provision explicitly prohibiting the department from regulating other occupants of the multiple occupancy building or portions of the building not used as a child care center.

Rescinds R 400.8560 of the Michigan Administrative Code.
