Expands the definition of respiratory care services to include additional procedures such as therapeutic and diagnostic bronchoscopy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, electrophysiological monitoring, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation

Creates a new limited license category for students enrolled in or graduates of respiratory therapist educational programs, valid for one year with one renewal allowed, requiring supervision by a licensed respiratory therapist

Increases licensure fees: application processing fee raised from $20 to $75, annual license fee increased from $75 to $82.70, and establishes a $27.50 limited license fee

Requires licensed respiratory therapists to complete 15 clock hours of continuing education per licensing period for renewal, or pass specified professional examinations from the National Board for Respiratory Care or equivalent organizations

Beginning one year after the act takes effect, requires applicants for full licensure to hold the registered respiratory therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care, replacing the previous option to qualify with a certified respiratory therapist credential
