Requires organized fire departments and law enforcement agencies (including state police, county sheriffs, and local police) to provide full-time members who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces reserves with at least 26 days of paid military leave per calendar year

Paid military leave must be compensated at the member's regular pay rate, and union members must continue receiving all contractually required fringe benefits and accruals during leave

Unused paid military leave cannot be carried over to the next year or reimbursed financially; it lapses at year's end

Qualified members must provide copies of military orders and give at least 14 days notice for leave of 10-19 consecutive days, or as much notice as reasonably possible for leave of 20+ days

Non-enlisted members ordered to attend preinduction physical examinations for military reserve enlistment must also receive paid leave to attend
