Eligibility requires the veteran to be a current or former Michigan citizen, have been honorably discharged or released under honorable circumstances, and have served in Iraq or Afghanistan during conflict

Limits recipients to one certificate each, with provisions allowing a designated representative to receive the certificate if the veteran is deceased

Updates the definition of "Armed Forces of the United States" to include the Space Force alongside the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard

Replaces gendered language ("he or she") with gender-neutral language ("the individual") in existing provisions regarding the Vietnam veteran recognition certificate
