Requires the Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential to recommend, and the State Board to approve, at least one nationally-administered teacher licensing examination by September 1, 2027

Eliminates the current process where the Superintendent of Public Instruction develops or selects subject area examinations based on committee recommendations, with this provision expiring September 1, 2028

Redefines "subject area examination" to mean either the current endorsement-area examinations (until September 1, 2028) or the new state board-approved national examination (on or after September 1, 2028)

Makes technical changes including updating gender-neutral language (replacing "his or her" with "the individual's") and relocating definitions within the statute
