Sunsets all criminal penalties and civil sanctions for minors who purchase, possess, or use tobacco products, vapor products, or alternative nicotine products after the bill's effective date

Current law makes tobacco violations by minors a misdemeanor with fines up to $50 and potential community service (16-48 hours depending on number of offenses)

Current law makes vapor/alternative nicotine product violations by minors a civil infraction for first two offenses and misdemeanor for third offense, with similar fines and community service

Adds new subsection (9) stating that all minor possession/use penalties in subsections (1) through (8) cease to apply after the amendatory act takes effect

Bill is tie-barred with HB 5370, HB 5371, HB 5368, and HB 5369 and will not take effect unless all four companion bills are also enacted into law
