Updates gender-neutral language throughout the statute, replacing "his or her" with "the individual's" or "the applicant's"

Removes outdated COVID-19 pandemic provisions related to late renewal fee waivers and extended validity periods for identification cards that expired between March 2020 and August 2021

Adds "dangerous situation" definition to include domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking
