Establishes a 55-day deadline before primary or general elections for replacing candidates who die, withdraw, become physically unfit, or are disqualified from state legislative, county, and township offices.

Requires that replacement candidate names be submitted and printed on ballots no less than 55 days before the election date, eliminating previous provisions allowing ballot reprinting after the deadline.

Applies to candidates for state senator, state representative, prosecuting attorney, sheriff, county clerk, county treasurer, register of deeds, drain commissioner, surveyor, county road commissioner, county commissioner, and township offices.

Maintains existing procedures for selecting replacement candidates through party committees, including county executive committees, state central committees, and precinct delegates depending on the office.

Removes "coroner" from the list of county offices covered under section 195 regarding candidate replacement procedures.
