Prohibits residential property insurers from considering a dog's breed or breed mix when making decisions about policy cancellation, denial, premium increases, or coverage limitations.

Bars insurers from asking about, inquiring into, or investigating the specific breed or breed mix of dogs residing at insured or to-be-insured properties.

Insurers may still refuse coverage, cancel policies, or adjust premiums based on sound underwriting and actuarial principles unrelated to dog breed.

Applies to residential property liability insurance covering houses, condominiums, cooperatives, apartments, rooms, and commercial multi-unit dwellings.

Takes effect January 1, 2027 and applies to policies issued or renewed on or after that date.
