Appropriations for Michigan community colleges for fiscal year 2026-2027 are reduced to a placeholder amount of $100.00, down from $493,032,100.00 appropriated in fiscal year 2025-2026.

All individual community college allocations totaling $363,570,600.00 for 28 named institutions are eliminated, including operations funding and North American Indian tuition waiver reimbursements.

Provisions for retirement contribution offsets ($7,189,000.00), normal cost contribution payments ($19,600,000.00), participating entity retirement payments ($89,500,000.00), and renaissance zone tax reimbursements ($2,200,000.00) are removed.

Funds will be distributed in 11 monthly installments beginning October 16, 2026, with July and August 2027 payments accrued to the institutional fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
