Requires the Michigan Department of Education to revoke approval of teacher preparation programs and alternative teaching programs by September 30, 2027 unless they meet new literacy training requirements.

Mandates completion of LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training as a graduation requirement for all individuals in teacher preparation and alternative teaching programs.

Requires all instructors who teach literacy or reading methods courses within these programs to complete LETRS training.

Establishes that both program participants and literacy/reading instructors must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the science of reading.

Prohibits the department from approving any new teacher preparation or alternative teaching programs after September 30, 2027 that do not comply with these requirements.
