Removes references to sections 227, 227c, and 227d from the list of statutes that peace officers, corrections employees, and military personnel are exempt from under section 231.

Removes references to sections 227 and 227a from the list of enhanced penalty offenses when committed in a weapon free school zone under section 237a.

Updates section 230 regarding altered firearm identification marks with modernized language (e.g., "shall" to "is") while maintaining the felony penalty of up to 2 years imprisonment or $1,000 fine.
