Amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to authorize the highway safety fund to be used for reimbursements under the proposed "Michigan State Police Patrolling Accountability: You Shoulder the Cost Act"

Requires enactment of companion legislation (HB 5705 or its Senate equivalent) for this bill to take effect

Clarifies that money remaining in the highway safety fund, jail reimbursement program fund, and secondary road patrol and training fund does not lapse to the general fund at fiscal year end

Updates statutory language throughout to replace outdated phrasing (e.g., "shall" to "must," "pursuant to" to "under")

Highway safety fund continues to be used for employing additional state police personnel to enforce traffic laws on highways and freeways
