Amends MCL 14.32 to explicitly clarify that Attorney General opinions provided to the legislature, governor, or state officers are advisory only and do not have legal authority.

Requires the Attorney General to provide opinions on legal questions when requested by the legislature, either house, the governor, auditor general, treasurer, or other state officers.

Maintains the Attorney General's duty to notify county treasurers when prosecuting attorneys fail to submit required annual reports.

Updates language throughout the statute to use gender-neutral terms (replacing "him" and "his" with "the attorney general" and "the attorney general's").
