Designates April 19 of each year as "Patriots' Day" in Michigan to commemorate the battles of Lexington and Concord (April 19, 1775), which marked the beginning of the American fight for independence.

Patriots' Day originated in Massachusetts in 1894 and is currently recognized in Maine, Connecticut, Florida, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Acknowledges Michigan's connection to the Revolutionary War through British settlements at Forts Detroit, Mackinac, and St. Joseph, including the Battle of Fort St. Joseph on February 12, 1781.

Creates a new act establishing the holiday designation through state legislation.
