Declares April 11-17, 2025, as Black Maternal Health Week in Michigan

Acknowledges that the United States has the highest maternal mortality rate among developed countries, with Black women three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women, regardless of income or education level

Recognizes Black Maternal Health Week as a national campaign founded by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance to raise awareness and promote Black-led solutions for improving maternal health outcomes

Expresses solidarity with Black mothers, families, advocates, and community organizations working to eliminate maternal health disparities

Encourages Michigan residents to observe the week through programs, activities, and conversations promoting awareness and action for Black maternal health
