Highlights Michigan's recreational resources including over 100 public beaches, 103 state parks and recreation areas, 19 million acres of forest, and thousands of miles of trails

Acknowledges partner organizations including the Michigan Moves Coalition, Michigan Fitness Foundation, Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports, and Michigan Society of Health and Physical Educators

Marks the fourth year of Michigan Moves Month, which promotes all forms of physical movement for persons of every ability throughout their lifespan
