Acknowledges the event as one of the most shameful episodes of forced displacement in Michigan's history, leaving men, women, and children without shelter in October

Honors the resilience of the Burt Lake Band and their ongoing efforts to preserve their culture and heritage while pursuing justice

Directs that copies of the resolution be transmitted to the leadership of the Burt Lake Band
