Increases Michigan's minimum hourly wage to $12.48 effective February 21, 2025, rising to $13.73 on January 1, 2026, and reaching $15.00 on January 1, 2027

Beginning October 2027, the minimum wage will be adjusted annually for inflation based on the Consumer Price Index for the midwest region, with increases suspended if state unemployment reaches 8.5% or higher

Establishes a tipped employee minimum wage starting at 38% of the regular minimum wage in 2025, gradually increasing by 2% annually until reaching 50% of the minimum wage by January 1, 2031

Raises civil fines for employers who fail to pay the tipped employee minimum wage from $1,000 to $2,500

Requires employers to retain for at least 3 years records demonstrating compliance with tipped wage provisions, and employees must receive written notice of gratuity provisions at or before hire
