Prohibits foreign governments, state-sponsored enterprises, and individuals acting on their behalf from purchasing or acquiring farmland in Michigan

Allows foreign governments or state-sponsored enterprises that owned farmland before October 1, 2023 to retain that land but bars them from acquiring additional farmland

Defines "farmland" as land zoned for agricultural use capable of producing crops, livestock, poultry, timber, dairy, orchard products, ranching, or hemp

Defines "state-sponsored enterprise" as any entity where a foreign government holds a controlling interest (50% or more ownership) or primary interest serving foreign geopolitical aims

Exempts farmland acquisitions made under United States treaties from the prohibition
