Increases the number of parcels allowed from land division without platting requirements from 4 parcels to 10 parcels for the first 10 acres or fraction thereof, phased in over 1 year after the effective date

Allows counties and municipalities to adopt ordinances authorizing landowners to partition or split parcels into a greater number of parcels than otherwise permitted under state law

Maintains existing rules for larger properties: 1 additional parcel per 10 acres above the first 10 acres (up to 11 additional parcels), plus 1 additional parcel per 40 acres above 120 acres

Parcels created under local ordinances may not be further divided without meeting platting requirements, except through subsequent ordinance provisions or the existing 10-year waiting period rules

Act approved by the Governor on December 23, 2025, with an effective date 91 days after final adjournment of the 2025 Regular Session
