Mandates reimbursement for remote ultrasounds and fetal nonstress tests under fee-for-service and managed care plans using established CPT codes when the same standard of care is met

Remote ultrasounds qualify for reimbursement only when using HIPAA-compliant digital technology that is FDA-approved for secure electronic transmission of health data to providers

Remote fetal nonstress tests must additionally use FDA-cleared remote monitoring devices for on-label monitoring of fetal heart rate, maternal heart rate, or uterine activity

Directs the department to adopt and publish guidelines for implementing these telemedicine coverage requirements
