Insurance producers who complete more than 24 hours of continuing education in a 2-year period may carry over up to 12 excess hours to the next period, though ethics hours cannot be carried over

Beginning January 1, 2026, insurance producers who are dues-paying members in good standing of professional insurance associations may earn up to 4 hours of continuing education credit through active participation in association activities

Qualifying participation includes attending formal association meetings, serving on boards or committees, and participating in industry, regulatory, or legislative meetings held by the association

Professional insurance associations must be approved by the director as continuing education providers and certify that members actively participated in qualifying activities

The director may credit other activities toward the 24-hour continuing education requirement for review dates after December 31, 2025
